A glimpse of Boarding life at Malvern College Switzerland

Weekend Activities, Culture & Excursions

MCS pupils will be able to take full advantage of living and studying in Switzerland, with its incredible beauty, traditions, and the many cultural and historic sites that are nearby.

Swiss excursions may include: CERN, Theatres, Museums, Swiss Castles, Art & Music Festivals, United Nations, Red Cross, Geneva, Bern, Lausanne, Vevey and Montreux.

Being located in the centre of Europe, MCS pupils also have the opportunity to take part in several different European visits depending on their year, subjects taken, club, or programme.

Cultural trips nearby may include: Milan, Rome, Venice, Paris, Madrid, Prague, Krakow, London and Nice amongst many others.

As a full boarding school, activities continue over the whole weekend.
There are no academic lessons which means that pupils are able to make the most of the local sports facilities in the School and village including opportunities to swim, play tennis (all year round), play football, basketball or volleyball, go ice skating or play ice hockey or curling, go for mountain walks or cycle, visit the local cinema, go horse riding, play golf, or join in a group with staff members to visit the Aquapark, one of the many Saturday street markets, go to a shopping centres or spend time in the beautiful nearby towns of Montreaux, Veyvey or Lausanne.

The winter (Spring term) period of course enables as much skiing and snowboarding as possible and fun at the snow park with tobogganing too. There are also House events and activities in the mix, so something for everyone and plenty to entertain and engage everyone.
